UK – Would i be better learning to drive normally or take an intensive drivng course?

Alright next year im going to learn to drive, but i want to learn quickly i dont want it to drag over months, i want to do it in a matter of days or just over 2 weeks. So my brother said to me about intense driving, where you learn over a short period of time.

So i was just wandering, would i be better off just going with it normally or going for the intensive driving option, as they seem to work out at the same price

10hrs of intensive driving = £220 + £33 assesment lesson
10 lessons at 1hr each = £220

Plus my brother would probably let me ferry him about in his car for a while so i would be learning from that aswell.

So i dont really konw which one to go for

hey just like you i didnt want it to drag out other months so this is what i did First i passed my Thoery test before taking any lessons then i Book 25 hours including Test For £540 and i did all of them 25 hours over a month most the the they was in 2 hour sessions and i passed first time i was advise not to do it in a 1 week course because its a lot to take in all at once

I was going to do an intensive driving course but my driving instructor told me you need to have your test booked for the end of the week you are learning and most of the time people don’t pass because they don’t have as much experience on the road so I would recommend normal driving lessons. Also it would be very difficult to concentrate for hours and you wouldn’t be able to take in all the things you need to know.

    Take the normal course.

i think it,s a great idea to ferry your brother around ,as any time spent on the road is good , find a instructor you get on with good luck

No way of knowing – we do not know you so unfortunately we cannot tell which would be the best system. have to make this call yourself and take responsibility for the outcome good or bad.
Getting insured on your brothers car would be costly.
10 lessons is not usually enough to get you through a test.

By taking standard driving lessons you get more experience of different traffic conditions, weather conditions etc.
