My cousin was hit by a drunk driver who was intoxicated over 2x the legal limit when the accident happened. Her car was totaled and she fractured her sternum and possibly some ribs, and was admitted to the hospital for a couple of days.
What is a realistic settlement that she would receive from the other drivers insurance company? We are just curious about what kind of settlement to expect, we’ve heard any where from ,000 to 0,000 so we really have no idea what will be offered..
In my experience dealerships don’t have you sign a liability waiver. If you are test driving a car and get into an accident, are you held responsible or is this covered by their insurance?
ok yesterday i had my first driving lesson… and the thing was i hated it! i was getting everything and then as soon as i turned the car on i froze, i was just about managing the gears (only stalled once) and i thought i would alot more. but i could’nt steer to save my life! i kept crossing my arms and just gripping the wheel so tight he could’nt move it!. i just come back and felt like crying. my twin sister is also lerning and she went before me, she got everything better than me, which is alright i know were individuals, used to it. i dunno, i want to do this soo much! but i don’t know if i am cut out for this, half of my family have just walked out in the middle of lessons and what if i’m like them? i have been reading blogs, and talked to my parents and people have felt the same way and people are telling me to be more positive, i don’t think i’m gonna gel with my instructor? i dunno weather i want a female instructor, but i’m gonna have to work and be taught by males in life.
i have sat in the back yard with the car learning the gears since i was 14. i know them well, just never while moving. my parents say they will take me to a big car park at night when it’s quiet, but they haven’t put me on the insurance yet, they say i’m better with dual controls if i’m that nervous. urgh…. i just dunno it was’nt what i excpected he brought me to a quiet industrial estate but lorries kept over taking, and there was a kid playing on the grass. i think i just turned into a hermit and if i’m not happy next time i’m gonna tell him why. also it was only a clio but it felt massive! you have to pay for 4 hours upfront (because they are cheaper) but if i still feel this way after that i’ll just say i think i need a different instructor than my sister.

I drive a shuttle bus for Holiday Inn. I side swiped a car while I was turning right (exiting from a gas pump at the gas station) and the other car was in my blind spot so I didn’t see him. The damages should be just some scratched paint, but might cost 500 dollars. I never signed any papers saying I would pay any damages and they never briefed me on what would happen in the case of an accident. I’m not sure if I’m under the company’s insurance, but they did ask me for my driver’s abstract before I started working. Please help!
