thanx for the answers i’m feeling a lil more at ease i have looked into instructors and what their offering and it looks like i will be going with a male instructor but im sure i will survive lol thanx again for the confidence boost

]]> http://www.drivingschools-uk.com/just-sent-off-application-for-provisional-drivers-license-so-i-have-a-couple-of-things-to-ask/feed/ 12 i'm dreading my second driving lesson? http://www.drivingschools-uk.com/im-dreading-my-second-driving-lesson/ http://www.drivingschools-uk.com/im-dreading-my-second-driving-lesson/#comments Tue, 27 Jul 2010 20:08:09 +0000 admin http://www.drivingschools-uk.com/im-dreading-my-second-driving-lesson/ ok yesterday i had my first driving lesson… and the thing was i hated it! i was getting everything and then as soon as i turned the car on i froze, i was just about managing the gears (only stalled once) and i thought i would alot more. but i could’nt steer to save my life! i kept crossing my arms and just gripping the wheel so tight he could’nt move it!. i just come back and felt like crying. my twin sister is also lerning and she went before me, she got everything better than me, which is alright i know were individuals, used to it. i dunno, i want to do this soo much! but i don’t know if i am cut out for this, half of my family have just walked out in the middle of lessons and what if i’m like them? i have been reading blogs, and talked to my parents and people have felt the same way and people are telling me to be more positive, i don’t think i’m gonna gel with my instructor? i dunno weather i want a female instructor, but i’m gonna have to work and be taught by males in life.
i have sat in the back yard with the car learning the gears since i was 14. i know them well, just never while moving. my parents say they will take me to a big car park at night when it’s quiet, but they haven’t put me on the insurance yet, they say i’m better with dual controls if i’m that nervous. urgh…. i just dunno it was’nt what i excpected he brought me to a quiet industrial estate but lorries kept over taking, and there was a kid playing on the grass. i think i just turned into a hermit and if i’m not happy next time i’m gonna tell him why. also it was only a clio but it felt massive! you have to pay for 4 hours upfront (because they are cheaper) but if i still feel this way after that i’ll just say i think i need a different instructor than my sister.

its just the fact he made me feel totally useless like i couldnt do it he even had a go at me once cos his girlfriend split up wit him .Even when i did things right he would have a go and it just totally destroyed my confidence my driving was really good and it just went totally downhill i try not to think about what he used to say but it sticks in my mind

I started joking with her and asking her why she’s got a female instructor, and then she said that her mum deliberately got her a female instructor because of the perviness of some of the male driving teachers.

Could this actually be true? What’s your opinion’s?
Or is she just over reacting?

Now that I have a female one, I’m not so sure. I feel as though she is looking at me all the time. Fair enough, as I’m sure she has too, to an extent check that I’m doing things correctly or I suppose in my case, wrongly. But I get this niggling feeling that she also might be hitting on me or at least like to. Whenever there’s any eye contact, there seems to be that ‘I fancy you look’.

It’s hard to explain, but I generally get these kind of looks from male admirers. I’m hoping I’m not paranoid, but as it could be with males is there the possibility that a female instructor might find me ‘hot’ too?… Not that I think I am.
If I changed instructors, would I have to start from the beginning again which I don’t want to do, as it would mean money down the drain and I can’t afford it?

I have nothing against peoples sexual preference so long as it stays their business and not try to involve me.

I feel a fool for asking in the 1st place, as I’m not 100% sure I’m picking up the right signals and it might just be that I’m nervous with my driving anyway, but any advice would be appreciated.
I already said that I didn’t think I was ‘all that etc’, but obviously some preferred to ignore that part.
