Apply for a provisional licence up to three months before your 17th birthday, and you could book your first driving lesson for the big day!

‘Creeping and Peeping’ is what driving instructors call the process of ‘Emerging’.

Part of the Syllabus as it relates to driving, is knowing about ‘Emerging’ and how to do it safely. When you learn with 2Pass.eu Driving School, one of our expert instructors will show you and explain all about ‘Emerging’. For example:-

Who has priority at a ‘Give Way’ junction and how to identify types of ‘Give Ways’.
What routine to use for turning left or right when emerging from a minor road onto a major road.
The correct procedure for ‘Going Ahead’ at a crossroads.
Knowing what is meant by the terms ‘Open Junction’ and ‘Closed Junction’.
What to do for the best when ‘Peeping and Creeping’ based on what you can see.
How and where to position when emerging at junctions where your views left and/or right are obstructed.

Most people start out on the process of learning to drive with the best of intentions. In order to succeed it is helpful to receive guidance from one that knows all about what you need to learn. The best advice is to choose a Driving Instructor who is suitably qualified and properly registered in order to provide tuition.

A 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor fits the bill. We are all what is known as ‘Approved Driving Instructors’ (ADI’s). Very experienced drivers and registered with the Driving Standards Agency.

Learning to drive appears to many to be quite complex but in fact once you understand what is required of a good driver, learning what you need to becomes easier. To help understand what you need to know, I have inserted into this document, elements taken from the Driving Syllabus, The Theory Test, Driving skills and Show Me Tell Me questions.

Pitlochry is an area that we intend to have represented by a 2Pass.eu Driving Instructor. 1st January 2009 is the first date that we intend having someone in this area.

2Pass.eu Driving School combines driving instructors from around the country, many of whom have several years of experience.

There are two tests you must pass before acquiring a full licence to drive a car. Throughout this site are tips, ideas, sample questions and information on all the skills you require in order to pass a practical driving test. Combine this knowledge with plenty of practical driving in order to succeed.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

Objects hanging from your interior may do what? Select two of the following.

a) Restrict your view.
b) Improve your driving.
c) Distract your attention.
d) Help your concentration.

Answer – a and c.

Syllabus Element:- Controls and Instruments – To be in control of your car or vehicle you need to be familiar with the controls and instruments. Indicators, light switches, wipers etc. are all controls you need to know how to use together with such items as fog lights, rear window heater etc. Good drivers are those that know all about their vehicle.

Driving test success is not luck. It is the culmination of all you learn during your driving lessons. One part of the learning to drive syllabus covers the procedures for ‘Approaching Junctions To Turn Left Or Right’.

A 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will show you:-
How to understand the meaning of ‘Major And Minor Roads’.
What routine to use for turning left or right from a major to minor road.
What you should be looking for before turning into a minor road.
What is meant by ‘Corner Cutting’ and why it is potentially dangerous.
What to do if an approaching driver ‘Flashes His Headlamp’.
What you must not do to other drivers when turning either left or right.
What the correct procedure is for turning left or right into a minor road.
How to prioritise with regard to pedestrians you see crossing a road you intend turning into.

We at 2Pass.eu Driving School are all experienced and fully qualified driving instructors. Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor can advise you on the above plus all of the other syllabus items.

Driving Skill:- Do you concentrate properly and avoid distractions? Can you read the road and anticipate potential hazards in good time? These are both driving skills that good drivers possess.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Tell me how you would check that the brake lights are working. Answer – Activate the brake pedal and make use of reflections in garage doors etc to see if the brake lights come on or ask someone to help.

Unlike many Driving Schools, 2Pass.eu Driving School does not employ Trainee Instructors. All our Instructors are properly qualified and registered with the Driving Standards Agency.

Our driving lesson prices are very competitive, in fact it is quite possible that 2Pass.eu Driving School offer the lowest price driving lessons in this area.

Currently our Driving School is operational in Dundee with plans to expand our services to a much wider audience, starting early 2009.

It is most people’s aim to one day be able to drive. A full driving licence is for many people, a life changing skill. Your quality of life can be very positively influenced when you are legally entitled to drive. Some employers and jobs require that you have a full licence. You can start learning to ride a motorcycle from the age of 16 and a car from the age of 17.

There is a lot to learn when you set out to obtain a driving licence. What is most important is that you realise that you have a responsibiltity when in control of a vehicle that is powerful and can cause injury and death if handled incorrectly. Within the text of this post are sections taken from The Driving Syllabus, The Theory Test, Driving Skills and Show Me Tell Me questions.

Forfar should be an area that 2Pass.eu Driving School will represent as of 1st January, 2009.

2Pass.eu Driving School is an association of fully qualified driving instructors.

Throughout this website are hundreds of articles all with one common theme. Repetition of the skills you need to acquire, the elements of the driving syllabus plus sample extracts from the show me tell me questions. Absorb this information and combine it with plenty of practice in order to pass your practical driving test.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

a) Leave the motorway and find a safe place to stop.
b) Keep looking around at the surrounding landscape.
c) Drive faster to complete your journey sooner.
d) Ensure a supply of fresh air into the vehicle.
e) Stop on the hard shoulder for a rest.

Answer a and d.

Syllabus element:- Bay Parking – you must demonstrate effective all round observation and show consideration to other road users when parking your vehicle.

Do you know what to do when ‘Meeting Traffic’ or ‘Crossing Traffic’ or ‘Overtaking A Moving Vehicle’? How about ‘Adequate Clearance’, do you know what is meant by the term?

Driving is an acquired skill. Repetition of certain routines enhance your chances of success but you need to know so much about the theory of driving. A 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will help you to:-

Know what to do for the best when another driver flashes headlamps.
Drive ‘Defensively’ and understand what ‘Defensive Driving’ is all about.
Realise what ‘Clearance’ to allow based on the speed at which you are travelling.
Learn how to anticipate the actions of other road users.

In order to be a safe driver, all of the subjects mentioned above need to be learned and understood . Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor is very experienced and will transfer to you, knowledge acquired over years, in order to help you pass your driving test.

Looking for cheap driving lessons? Most people consider the cost of a driving lesson, but this should not be the over riding issue!

Learning to drive is more than simply learning how to control a car. There are other aspects such as the required hazard perception and theory test plus additional back up which your driving school may be able to provide.

Items such as advice on insurance, buying a car, ongoing training such as advanced driving lessons, plus many more. These are all things to consider when choosing a driving school. 2Pass.eu Driving School is the complete package!

Being associated with other businesses, we are able to reduce our overheads and are in a position to pass these savings on to you. Our cheap driving lessons are probably the lowest priced in this area. Naturally there may be other schools that match our lesson prices but they probably can not offer the same range of services that we can.

Another very important factor is the length of time it is going to take you to reach the standard necessary to pass the driving test. All 2Pass.eu Driving School Driving Instructors are experienced. Additionally, we are all approved driving instructors registered with The Driving Standards Agency.

When learning to drive we, 2Pass.eu Driving School, believe that your driving school should be able to provide you with multiple options. Our aim is to offer car tuition in both manual and automatic cars and also motorcycle tuition. Our 2Pass.eu Driving School Franchise will start operations in 2009 and we should have cover within a 20 miles distance of Montrose

At present we are introducing the 2Pass.eu Driving School via this blog. If all goes to plan we will launch our driving school franchise early in 2009. When we do it is hoped that we will have one or more driving instructors in this area.

Meeting Traffic, Overtaking, Crossing Traffic – What does it all mean?

Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor knows all about how to deal with the above and can guide you to driving test success by showing you what to do in any given situation. He or she can help with the following:-

Understanding the routine used for overtaking a moving vehicle.
Knowing what to do for the best when meeting traffic or crossing traffic.
Realising when it is safe or not safe to overtake a moving vehicle.
Advising on how much room to allow when passing parked vehicles or roadside obstructions.
Practising the ’2 Second Rule’.

There is so much more but a 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will provide expert tuition in everything you need to know in order to pass a driving test.

A good driver needs to possess many things which can be broken down into a few categories. Knowledge of Theory, an understanding of the Driving Skills you need to acquire, and appreciation of the Driving Syllabus and ability to carry out all that these require. Included in this article are random extracts from the Theory Test, Show Me Tell Me questions, Driving Syllabus and Driving Skills.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

Question – You are approaching a hump back bridge. Choose three answers from the six possibles.

a) move into the middle of the road to get a better view
b) slow down
c) get over the bridge as quickly as possible
d) consider using your horn
e) find another route
f) beware of pedestrians

Answer – b,d,f.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

When following a large vehicle you should keep well back. Why? Which one of the following should you choose?

a) It allows you to corner more quickly.
b) It helps the large vehicle to stop more easily.
c) It allows the driver to see you in the mirrors.
d) It helps you to keep out of the wind.

Answer – c.

Syllabus Element:- Cockpit Drill – When learning to drive it is most important that you know how to set up the car in order that you are seated comfortably and can reach and see all of the controls.

Driving Skill:- Are your steering actions safe, smooth and accurate, and do you pass the wheel through your hands? Steering is an important consideration when learning to drive, aim to always keep your left hand to the left of the steering wheel and your right hand to the right. In this way your control of the steering wheel is maximised.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Tell me how you would check that the brakes are working before starting a journey. Answer – As you move off check the brakes. They should not feel spongy and the car should not pull to one side.

You have heard the saying – ‘there is no substitute for experience’. How you get the experience is to practise.

Cheap driving lessons. Exactly what is this? Is it the individual cost of a driving lesson or is it the overall cost of learning to drive for the lowest price? These are questions that need to be answered.

2Pass.eu Driving School offer probably the lowest priced driving lessons in this area provided we are represented here.

We achieve this by offering a range of services additional to actual driving lessons. Hazard perception and theory training, help and information with subjects such as insurance, buying a car etc.

We, 2Pass.eu Driving School, are associated with other businesses and we share our costs which helps to reduce our overheads. We pass these savings on to you in a number of ways. Cheap driving lessons is one way we can help but there are others which you will find out about when you choose us to help you learn to drive.

Passing a driving test in Great Britain is an achievement but it comes at a cost. The cost is the time it takes you learn the required skills and the amount of money you pay during the learning process. The time and cost elements can be reduced by choosing a driving school that has experienced and fully qualified driving instructors, backed up by a company that offers more than just the driving lessons.

Driving Instructors that are associated with 2Pass.eu Driving School meet all of the above requirements. We are all approved driving instructors. The Driving Standards Agency has registered us as fully qualified.

There is so much to learn when learning to drive. Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will teach you all about Crossroads.

Who has priority at an unmarked crossroads.
What routine you should use for approaching and/or turning at crossroads.
Why it is important to check crossroads even if you have priority.
What you must be careful of when turning right at a crossroads.
How you should pass an approaching vehicle at crossroads if you are both turning right.
What the purpose is of a yellow box junction.
Where you should position to go ahead at a crossroads.
When you should position towards the centre of the road to go ahead at crossroads.

Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will help you with all of this plus a lot more.

There are thousands of driving schools all over the country but most offer very limited services. Our 2Pass.eu Driving School Franchise launches early 2009. When it does we intend offering motorcycle training as well as automatic and manual car tuition and we should be in a position to do this if you are within 20 miles of Dundee

At present 2Pass.eu is a blog. The website proper is presently being developed by Colin, one of our partners. When finished, the 2Pass.eu website will be used to introduce and promote 2Pass.eu Driving School Franchise which will be available from early in 2009.

Judge if it is safe to cross oncoming traffic when turning right.

In order to be a safe driver, all of the subjects mentioned above need to be learned and understood . Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor is very experienced and will transfer to you, knowledge acquired over years, in order to help you pass your driving test.

The process of learning to drive is enhanced when one is taught via a structured process. Throughout this article are extracts from the process which includes Theory Training, Driving Syllabus, some of the Driving skills you need to possess and samples from the Show Me Tell Me questions, two of which you will get asked at the beginning of a driving test.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

Question – How does alcohol affect you? Choose one answer from the following.

a) It speeds up your reactions
b) It increases your awareness
c) It improves your co-ordination
d) It reduces your concentration

Answer d.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

Question – At toucan crossings which of the following is correct. Choose one answer.

a) you only stop if someone is waiting to cross
b) cyclists are not permitted
c) there is a continuously flashing amber beacon
d) pedestrians and cyclists may cross

Answer – d.

Syllabus element:- Mirrors – Vision & Use – You should use your mirrors often, including exterior mirrors as necessary. Always be aware of your blind spots and act sensible and safely on what you see. Always check carefully before:-

*Signalling
*Changing direction
*Changing speed

Use the MSM (mirror, signal, manoeuvre) routine. Do not signal or act without first using the mirrors.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Identify where the windscreen washer reservoir is and tell me how you would check the windscreen washer level. Answer – Identify the windscreen washer level reservoir and explain how to check the level. Your car manual will give you further details.

Expert instruction coupled with your determination to succeed. That’s what it takes to pass a driving test. Over to you!

Cheap driving lessons is generally what most people look for when choosing a driving school although many learners also consider lots of other factors.

The cost of learning to drive can not consider simply the price of a driving lesson. This is only one piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Other factors make up the overall cost of what it takes to achieve driving test success.

A fully qualified Driving Instructor can help to reduce your expense. He or she will guide you in generally fewer lessons than an inexperienced driving instructor. All 2Pass.eu Driving School Driving Instructors are experienced, fully qualified and registered as approved driving instructors by the Driving Standards Agency.

We claim that our driving lessons are probably the lowest priced in this area. Cheap driving lessons are achieved by comparing all of the services that a driving school offers, not just the individual lesson price.

Our individual lessons prices may be matched by other driving schools but I doubt they can offer the wide range of supporting services that 2Pass.eu Driving school provide.

When learning to drive we, 2Pass.eu Driving School, believe that your driving school should be able to provide you with multiple options. Our aim is to offer car tuition in both manual and automatic cars and also motorcycle tuition. Our 2Pass.eu Driving School Franchise will start operations in 2009 and we should have cover within a 20 miles distance of Arbroath

www.2Pass.eu blog has the responsibility of introducing 2Pass.eu Driving School to internet searchers the world over. In practice though we are only likely to be of real interest in the United Kingdom.

Currently a driving school in Dundee, Scotland, the 2Pass.eu Driving School Franchise will seek to attract driving instructors all over the UK. The Franchise will launch from early in 2009.

So what does it take to become a safe driver? First you need to have a good understanding of the theory of driving and of the highway code, road signs, road markings etc. Add to this knowledge of the Driving Syllabus plus the Driving Skills you need to acquire and some idea of the Show Me Tell Me questions that get asked at the beginning of a driving test. This information is peppered throughout this article.

Answer – c.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

You are about to stop. Which one of the following should you do?

a) Sound the horn.
b) Use the mirrors.
c) Select a higher gear.
d) Flash your headlights.

Answer – b.

Syllabus element:- Meeting Other Traffic – If there is an obstruction on your side of the road or not enough room for two vehicles to pass safely, be prepared to wait and let approaching vehicle through. When you turn right across the path of an approaching vehicle, make sure you can do so safely. Be careful not to cause other road users to slow down, stop or swerve to avoid you.

Driving Skill:- Do you concentrate properly and avoid distractions? Can you read the road and anticipate potential hazards in good time? These are both driving skills that good drivers possess.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Open the bonnet identify, where you would check the engine oil level and tell me how you would check that the engine has enough oil. Answer – Identify the dipstick, pull it out and check the oil level against the min/max markings.

To do well you need determination and the correct attitude, add this to plenty of practise and the outcome is success!

The first step to learning to drive is to obtain a provisional licence. You can do this from the age of 16, but you will only be able to ride a motorcycle. From 17 you can start to learn in a car.

The learning to drive syllabus is extensive. One part of it concerns Pedestrian Crossings and Use Of Signals.

A 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will help you to:-
Learn all of the different types of Pedestrian Crossings.
How to recognise a ‘Pedestrian Crossing’ in the road ahead.
Learn the correct procedure to use on the approach to a ‘Pedestrian Crossing’.
Understand the process of correct signalling.
Deal with hesitant pedestrians at a crossing.
Know what is the safe routine for giving signals.
Learn about road markings as they relate to ‘Pedestrian Crossings’.
Understand hand signals mentioned in the Highway Code.
Realise what signals are unnecessary.

Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor is an expert in the area of driving. He or she will pass on this knowledge to you, helping you to driving test success.

St Andrews can expect to have one or more 2Pass.eu Driving Instructors and it is our intention to have this area covered soon after 1st January 2009.

2Pass.eu Driving School combines driving instructors from around the country, many of whom have several years of experience.

On a long motorway journey boredom can cause you to feel sleepy. Which two of the following could you do to prevent this.

a) Leave the motorway and find a safe place to stop.
b) Keep looking around at the surrounding landscape.
c) Drive faster to complete your journey sooner.
d) Ensure a supply of fresh air into the vehicle.
e) Stop on the hard shoulder for a rest.

Answer a and d.

Syllabus Element:- Stopping – Any change of speed or direction requires that you observe the MSM routine. M stands for Mirror or mirrors, S stands for signal if required, the second M stands for the Manouevre you are to carry out. So if for example you are required to pull over you should check your interior and left mirrors, signal left, move to the left side of the road and brake to a smooth halt.

Driving Skill:- Can you drive with reasonable restraint without being hesitant? Is your judgement of speed and distance accurate? These are skills a good driver possesses.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Identify where the windscreen washer reservoir is and tell me how you would check the windscreen washer level. Answer – Identify the windscreen washer level reservoir and explain how to check the level. Your car manual will give you further details.

2Pass.eu Driving School has been created in order to offer a range of services for learner drivers. Help with Theory Training and Hazard Perception Training are examples of what the 2Pass.eu Website will provide as a supplement to the driving instruction services provided by our fully qualified driving instructors.

Learning to drive comprises many skills. Your 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor will teach you all about Road Positioning, Hesitancy and Making Progress.

He or she will show you:-
How to position your vehicle for normal driving.
Where you should position to turn right.
Where you should position to deal with either a left or right bend.
Why it is so important to exercise ‘Lane Discipline’.
What is meant by ‘Hesitancy’.
How you can avoid ‘Hesitancy’.
What things determine the maximum safe speed you can drive at.
What the danger is of driving too slowly for the road and traffic conditions.
How to judge a safe separation distance between you and a vehicle ahead.

When you choose a 2Pass.eu Driving School driving instructor you are assured of expert tuition in the above and all of the other skills needed to be a safe driver.

The 2Pass.eu Driving School has ambitions to provide a range of services. In our pilot area of Dundee we already provide training in manual and automatic cars plus motorcycle training. When we launch the 2Pass.eu Driving School Franchise early in 2009 we should be able to offer these services if you live within a 20 mile radius of Blairgowrie

This blog is created for the purpose of introducing 2Pass.eu Driving School. It is our intention to be represented in different parts of the UK starting from January 2009.

Driving test success is not luck. It is the culmination of all you learn during your driving lessons. One part of the learning to drive syllabus covers the procedures for ‘Approaching Junctions To Turn Left Or Right’.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

Question – You are carrying a 5 year old child in the back seat of your car. The child is less than 4ft 5inches (1.35 metres) in height. The child must use an adult seat belt under what circumstances. Choose one answer from the following.

a) A correct child restraint is not available
b) It is a lap type belt
c) The child sits between two adults
d) The safety belt can be shared with another adult

Answer – a.

RANDOM THEORY QUESTION

Which of the following may cause loss of concentration on a long journey? Select four from the following.

a) Loud music.
b) Arguing with a passenger.
c) Using a mobile telephone.
d) Putting in a cassette tape.
e) Stopping regularly to rest.
f) Pulling up to tune the radio.

Answers a, b, c, d.

Syllabus element:- Reversing – When you are reversing you will need to control your vehicles speed. Steer a course reasonably close to the kerb. Remember that the front of your vehicle will swing out as you turn a corner. Throughout all of this, maintain effective observation of the area around you and act sensibly and safely on what you see.

Avoid hitting or mounting the kerb, or steering too wide.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Tell me how you would check that the brake lights are working. Answer – Activate the brake pedal and make use of reflections in garage doors etc to see if the brake lights come on or ask someone to help.

To do well you need determination and the correct attitude, add this to plenty of practise and the outcome is success!
