There is a lot to learn when you set out to obtain a driving licence. Syllabus element:- Bay Parking – you must demonstrate effective all round observation and show consideration to other road users when parking your vehicle.

Control your vehicle making proper use of clutch (if fitted), accelerator, brakes and steering. Allow for clearance as your vehicle is turning, the front will swing out to the left or right depending on the direction of travel.

Keep a special look out for cyclists and pedestrians who may pass close to the front of your vehicle.

What is a Hazard? A Hazard is anything that would cause you as a driver to change speed or direction, as you gain experience through your driving lessons you will be aware of situations that may develop in to a hazard

Examples of hazards could be – Hidden Road Junctions – Vehicles changing/merging lanes – Pedestrians exiting vehicles.

What is the Hazard Perception Test? The Hazard Perception Test (HPT) became part of the Theory Test in 2002, it makes up the second half of your theory test and involves watching a series of video clips and clicking the mouse when a hazard is identified.

Show Me Tell Me Question:- Show me how you would check that the direction indicators are working correctly. Answer – Activate the indicators or hazard warning lights and walk around the car to see if all the indicators are working correctly.
